Develop spiritual disciplines
College can be a time when students ask deep questions about God and their faith. Through formal and informal initiatives, JBU faculty and staff guide students to Scripture and God as they build a Biblical foundation that will last for life.
be encouraged.
Growth groups
Growth Groups are peer-led and faculty/staff-led groups that meet weekly for fellowship, Bible study, prayer, book discussion, or to address a particular area of interest from within the group. These groups offer a variety of time commitments ranging from a few weeks to a full year.
Retreats
Whether it's Fall Breakaway at New Life Ranch or the spring retreats for men and women, JBU's annual retreats are a great time to get away from campus, connect with other students and grow in your relationship with Christ. Silent retreats are also sometimes offered.
Spiritual mentoring
In addition to small groups, Student Ministries seeks to connect students in the pursuit of mentoring relationships.
Walker prayer chapel
A small prayer chapel is available to our JBU community in Walker Student Center next to the Office of Christian Formation. It is open 24/7.
