Admissions requirements for transferring

If you've earned more than 24 college credits, you need a 2.5 college GPA to be accepted. If you've earned less than 24 credits, you'll be admitted based on our typical requirements of a 2.5 high school GPA with a 20 ACT, 1020 SAT or 66 CLT score. Either way, follow the transfer admissions checklist or get started on your application.

Financial aid for transfer students

Transfer students are able to receive both Merit-Based scholarships and Need-Based scholarships.  Learn more about financial aid and costs.

Transfer of credit

Credit which has been earned at another institution will be reviewed by the Registrar and the appropriate division faculty. Learn more about how your credit will transfer and view our core curriculum transfer guides.

Articulation agreements

Partnerships with particular institutions create pathways for you to earn an associate’s degree from your community college and complete your bachelor’s degree at JBU, as well as offer reverse transfer credit. Learn more.
