What activities were you involved in at JBU?

I was in Cathedral Choir for 4 years and was the President of the Music Mentor program. I was in chapel band for two years and toured with the Admissions traveling chapel Band for three years as a lead vocalist and tour coordinator. I also participated in every Musical Theater production I could and was Jo in Little Women the Musical my senior year! My Senior year I also directed, produced, starred, choreographed a one hour musical theater presentation. Additionally, Warm Cookie Wednesday in the caf was also one of my favorite JBU traditions!

Why are you working at JBU?

My years as a student at JBU were some of the most formative years of my life. I count it as an incredible honor to be back working in Admissions shepherding the next generation of students to campus. JBU’s community is one like no other and I’m thrilled to work alongside faculty and staff that shaped me into the person I am today.

What are two words that describe you?

Quirky and Bubbly.

Describe your Family

My family is a fun conglomerate of introverts and extroverts that are generous, kind, loving, fun, witty, adventurous, homebodies who love to play board games and watch movies in different places across the country.

Favorite snacks?

Green grapes and Dove chocolate.

Hobbies

Belting out to show tunes in the car, renovating furniture, watching movies, eating good food, yoga with baby goats in pajamas, cooking, and sleeping.

What quick advice would you give an incoming JBU student?

Keep an open mind about where the Lord is guiding you. Once you let go of control of how you want your life to look, God can come in and give you His vision for your life. Realizing that you will face challenges and failure allows room for grace and humility. Be ready to say yes to new experiences, but it’s okay to say no when it’s time for a nap. Know that Jesus, even though he was God, experienced what it was like to be human. He knows you intimately and isn’t surprised by anything.
