What activities were you involved in at JBU?

ResLife, Music and Theatre, Honors, Intramurals, Student Ministries; I was always doing something!

What are your favorite things to do in NWA?

NWA is a hidden gem.  I love to go hiking/exploring in God's amazing creation (especially in the fall and spring!).  There are so many places to visit from Natural Falls State Park in Oklahoma to Devil's Den State Park and the Buffalo National River in Arkansas.  There's always somewhere new to explore and witness God's grandeur!

What's your favorite book?

The Lord of the Rings is my favorite story, but I also love anything by C.S. Lewis or G. K. Chesterton!

What's your favorite game?

Wonders, Settlers of Catan, Coup, Qwixx, I love games!  I really enjoy getting to sit down with friends and enjoy spending time with them while playing a fun game.

Describe your family

‚ÄčI am the fifth of eight children and the second to graduate from JBU.  My family is now spread out across the U.S. from NC to WA, but we love to get together whenever we can.  At those gatherings, we love to eat together, play games, and explore God's creation through hiking and camping.

What quick advice would you give an incoming JBU student?

Make time for rest, but also find one or two ways to get involved that are really meaningful to you.  It's okay to not be best friends with everyone, but I believe that JBU can be a place to make some life-long friends if you let it!
