Dr. Stacey Duke:
John Brown is very focused on our students and our student needs. We offer our Psychology program in a traditional format but more and more of our students that are working in the field that are interested in completing their degree are looking for an online format. We took our classes that we had and developed them to meet the specific needs of working adults, and so an online degree helps facilitate that no matter where they are in the world, no matter where they are in their career.

Dr. Richard Froman:
There's a lot of ways that being outside the college campus really enriches the experience of the students in the class because they can immediately apply these things they are doing, to their lives. I think it makes it a lot less theoretical and more applied.

Dr. Stacey Duke:
They have the same classroom interaction and engagement through discussion boards, through activities.

Dr. Richard Froman:
It's very interactive with the faculty, limited to just twenty students in a class so a great deal of personal attention for each student.

Dr. Stacey Duke:
And psychology really has a lot of applications in the career force.

Dr. Richard Froman:
Understanding people. Understanding how they respond, how are they motivated? That's an important aspect of working in any community.

Dr. Stacey Duke:
You can go into a legal background, a CASA advocate, all the way to becoming a lawyer, a judge, you can go into chemistry, because you understand behaviors of people. You can start to study behaviors of organisms, sales force management, because you begin to understand how to market to people. Youth ministry, working in the community- I really think there's application almost in every area. John Brown's focus on the Christian perspective gives them an added tool. When you have something that grounds you and you're rooted in something, then your reaction can be different so they can react appropriately to the people around them.
