Joel Armstrong:
Art & Illustration takes a person that is self-motivated.

Charles Peer:
In our department, we have a lot of fun. I think that comes from just the joy of working here.

Patrick Symons:
It's cool to be able to pick up a paint brush and be like, 'hey, I'm gonna make something, but I'm also going to make something that glorifies God.'

Hannah Rose McIntire:
The professors here are really awesome. They really serve more as mentors and encouragers. They also share how faith has to do with art, which is always encouraging as well.

Bobby Martin:
I see myself as a teacher, more of a facilitator. As much more than a lecturer, just somebody who stands up in front of the class and talks.

Joel Armstrong:
The classes are small enough that they get to bond with other students. That bonding is something they can take past the school.

Bobby Martin:
We're really blessed at JBU to have facilities that are top notch and really rival anything in the whole state, really. We have new printing presses to print on, we've got old ancient printing presses, screens, and screenprinting equipment to be able to do some really high end printmaking projects.

Charles Peer:
We work very, very hard. I mean, this is a program that's very competitive. But it is also one that is very creative. It is a fun, exciting program to be involved with.

Bobby Martin:
Everybody's not siloed in their own area, they all work together. I think that collaboration is a unique benefit of the way the JBU program is set up.

Charles Peer:
If you really want to learn your craft here, and you want to get good at it, come to JBU. You're going to work very, very hard but have a blast doing it.
