Dr. Randall Waldron:
Becoming a Soderquist Chair Holder has also been a real honor and a privilege. We have the opportunity to do somethings that we haven't been able to do in the past. I'm interested in exploring business as mission. I think there are elements of that that have a lot of the Christian community excited. This is a chance for me to connect my academic field along with my faith interest to see how we merge together.

Dr. David Vila:
We take students on the Jordan Summer Studies Program. We travel all around Jordan, we travel over to Israel, and dig up the past.

Kari Miller:
Our first couple of days we just got oriented to what archaeology is like, none of us had ever done it before. Students, the professors, the Jordanians all working at this excavation site.

Dr. David Vila:
The name of the excavation is Abila of the Decapolis and it was one of the Decapolis cities and Jesus probably passed through there. It really brings the Bible to life for them.

Kari Miller:
Going to Jordan has been one of my best experiences at JBU.

Dr. Randall Waldron:
The opportunity to do these things really enhances the education, It gives us a world vision for what's out there and what can be done and what the call is on our lives. I've come from bigger schools, but I've never felt like I've been able to make a bigger impact than I can here.
