Jen Edwards:
General music majors are people that love music and often want to wed it with something else. We call theory and ear training and music history and all that stuff that happens in the classroom the pre-performance aspect of music.

Lauren Townsend:
All of the faculty members are so encouraging and wanting you to succeed. And they'll do whatever it takes to get you there.

Jen Edwards:
Because of the really interchangeable nature of our degree programs, we offer a lot of flexibility and excellent teaching across the curriculum.

Lauren Townsend:
Like things make sense and it's like, 'oh! I have this deeper understanding because now that I've learned this in class, I can apply it to performance.'

Jen Edwards:
We're training students that are excellent musicians and excellent pastors and the communal nature of JBU really lends to some great practice of that.

Lauren Townsend:
I really like the class size and just what I saw with the professors and the students. And how they interacted with each other.

Jen Edwards:
We try to really focus on the fact that doing anything excellently becomes worship.
