Video Producer
DESCRIPTION: Assists in the creation of video content for the jbu.edu website and JBUNOW video channel. Students will work in the University Marketing and Communications office.

REQUIREMENTS: Proficiency in nonlinear video editing software; able to set up a basic video shoot. Interview skills a plus.

 

Graphic Designer
DESCRIPTION: The graphic designer position assists the department of University Marketing and Communications in designing a variety of internal and external projects and materials for a wide range of campus clients. Photography ability a plus, but not a requirement.

REQUIREMENTS: Student must have design experience and be proficient with the Mac platform and Adobe Creative Suite. Students will work in the University Marketing and Communications Office.

 

Web Editor/Project Manager
DESCRIPTION
: Assist University Marketing and Communications in the creation and management of online content including the JBU website, JBU Now televisions, Eaglenet ads. The position will include analyzing web traffic and producing reports. He/she will also assist in various other UMC projects assigned – including creating Microsoft and Google Docs documents, updating the photo database website, helping the management process of the JBU promotional materials inventory, along with other projects assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written required for this position. Knowledge of PR and marketing principles and attention to detail is a must. Ability to learn a web content management system (HTML knowledge a plus).

 

Podcast Editor
DESCRIPTION
: Work with the University Marketing and Communications video producer to merge, edit, and finalize weekly podcast materials (recordings, intro, outro, etc) and other audio content to maintain high sound quality, clarity, and branding.

REQUIREMENTS: Audio editing skills, strong attention to detail and experience editing audio files with audio-editing tools and software (ex. Audacity).

 

Writer
DESCRIPTION
: Assist University Marketing and Communications by conducting interviews if needed; researching information; getting story ideas; writing and/or editing press releases, news articles and feature articles; scheduling projects; tracking media placement and helping with various other projects.

REQUIREMENTS: Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written required for this position. Background in writing, research, English, journalism, communications or other editorial work required as well as knowledge of AP Style.
