RA Description

The Residence Life Staff is important in helping develop the campus community, foster holistic learning opportunities and create a positive living environment. While being a part of the Residence Life staff is challenging, it is also very rewarding. Each year,  about 45 RA's and 4 ARD's are hired to fill positions in the Mayfield, J. Alvin, Hutcheson, Walker, Northslope, and the Townhouses. Click the above link for a position description. 

Important Dates

  • Wednesday, January 29 - Spring Informational Meeting at 9:30-10:30 PM in the Walker Hall 2nd Floor Lounge
  • Friday, February 7 – Applications, Resumes, and References Due Online
  • Thursday & Friday, February 13 & 14 - Group Interviews (Sign-up’s in Student Development Office)
  • Wednesday, February 19 - Wednesday, February 26 - Individual Interviews (Sign-up’s in Student Development)
  • Thursday, February 27 – Mixer at 5:00-6:00 PM (come-and-go) in SBC 241/242
  • Friday, March 13 – Selection Letters Sent Out
  • Wednesday’s after Spring Break through April – Mandatory RA Class

We suggest that before filling out this application, each applicant type and save their answers to the essay questions in a text editing program, e.g.Word, and then copy/paste into this form, as applicants will not receive a copy of their application.
