Meet the newest face on our enrollment team, Amanda Abramovitz! Amanda works in the JBU Little Rock Center, where she serves as Office Manager and Academic Advisor for liberal arts and psychology students. She will also be working with new students in Graduate Business programs in Little Rock and Fort Smith.

Q. Tell us about yourself.

A. I graduated from JBU in 2012 with a degree in marketing and had a great experience full of memories, challenges, and growth. I also married a JBU grad, Bryan, who will finish his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree this August (hallelujah!) from the University of Central Arkansas. We’ll have been married for five years this June. We have no kids, but we do have a crazy Havanese named Tebow who brings lots of laughter to our lives. And no, we aren’t Florida Gators fans, we’re just Tim Tebow fans. In fact, we are huge Razorback fans and jump at the chance to attend any games we can. I love baseball and I think a beautiful, warm day at a ballpark may very well be my happy place. Bryan and I also like to be outdoors as much as possible. We hike and camp, along with Tebow, as often as we can and enjoy traveling and finding new places for adventure.

Q. Why do you want to work at JBU?
A. Although I spent my elementary and middle school years wanting to be the President of the United States, I am so excited to be back at JBU! Since finishing my undergraduate degree in 2012, I have had a growing desire to work in higher education. I love the atmosphere and the excitement that comes with working hard and earning a degree. That, coupled with my positive experience as an undergrad at JBU, made this position seem like a great opportunity! I’m passionate about building relationships and I think learning is something we should be doing all of our lives, so I’m excited that this position encompasses both! I look forward to seeing what God has ahead with this new adventure.
