Robyn is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Springfield, Missouri. She graduated from JBU in 2004 and received her graduate degree in 2011 from Forest Institute. During her graduate program, she began working in the criminal justice field within the Greene County Juvenile Office detention unit as a Deputy Juvenile Officer and sworn-in Circuit Clerk. After four years with juveniles, Mrs. Taft moved on to the adult field working with the Missouri Department of Corrections Probation and Parole division for five years as a Sex Offender Officer. In 2018 Mrs. Taft moved into the therapeutic realm while receiving supervision through a Christian-based private practice. In December 2020 she received full licensure, and is currently employed with Counseling Group of the Ozarks, where she holds a traditional caseload of clients ages 10+. She is also contracted with the State of Missouri to administer weekly outpatient MOSOP-based sex offender groups.

When not counseling or facilitating psychology classes in JBU's online psychology program, she enjoys reading, honing her pour-over coffee technique, and listening to hours of music on her Spotify playlists. Robyn and her husband Justin enjoy spending time outdoors, being active in their church and life group, spending quality time with her 100-year-old grandfather Jim, and going on adventures with their two very unruly beagles, Bella and Otis.
