Dr. Kyle Ireland received a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics and a Master of Arts in teaching from Olivet Nazarene University, going on to work at Olivet for several years before coming to JBU. Kyle earned a Doctorate of Education (Educational Leadership) from Liberty University in April 2018 by completing his dissertation, "Experiencing Success: A Hermeneutic Phenomenology of Successful Remedial Mathematics Students." Kyle has taught mathematics, trained faculty advisers on placement criteria, directed university seminar programs and worked closely with registrars to ensure placement guidelines were met. He and his wife Darcy (a mathematics teacher at Siloam Springs Middle School) have been married since December 2002 and have two daughters, Capri and Carsyn. He loves to spend time with his children, joining them in playing softball, jumping on the trampoline, riding bikes and scooters, and exploring new hiking trails. Kyle loves sports, music, spending time with friends and good food. He hopes to one day take his family on a long road trip out west in a large RV to see many of the national parks.
