Shawnee, Okla. (April 5, 2011) - The JBU men’s golf team finished fifth out of six teams after the two-day Bison Invitational hosted by Oklahoma Baptist at the Shawnee Country Club.
The Golden Eagles finished the par 71, 6,860 yard course, with a two-day total of 664, 23 strokes behind winner Rogers State (Okla.), who finished with a 641. Oklahoma Baptist finished second after shooting 646, and Mid-America Christian (Okla.) took third with a 656.
Individually for JBU, junior West Loveland led the team after finishing tied for seventh place overall with a two day total of 161 (80, 81). Senior Jeff Hobble was 12th with a 163 (82, 81), while junior Matt Brooker took 17th with a 167 (91, 76). Sophomore Nathan Sudheimer was tied for 25th after shooting 173 (89, 84), and sophomore Cameron Lindsey was 37th with a 184 (96, 88).
OBU’s Chase Lindsey took the individual first place crown after shooting a two-day total of 154 (81, 73), 12 over par.
The men’s final competition of the year is April 26-27 when they head to the Sooner Athletic Conference Championship in Catoosa, Oklahoma.
