(May 22, 2006) - John Brown University’s Division of Professional Studies and the Division of Education are excited to announce that its degree completion program in early childhood education is now available in Springdale, Ark starting in January 2007. With a high demand for quality teachers in Arkansas, JBU is meeting that need by offering a degree completion program in education. To be eligible for the program, prospective students must have earned at least two years of college credit, be 23 years of age or older and have two or more years of work experience. The degree prepares teachers for their initial license in the state of Arkansas and licensed graduates will be qualified to teach preschool through fourth grade in a public or private school. Classes will start in January 2007 and will be scheduled outside normal business hours with the exception of a few Saturday workshops.
