Siloam Springs, Ark (October 1, 2001) - Reporting the largest student body in the private institution’s history, John Brown University releases its official 11th Day Report with 1, 684 students enrolled in classes. This census report is required of all colleges and universities by the state of Arkansas and provides an accurate tally of higher education activity throughout the state. It is named the 11th Day Report because it reflects enrollment as of the 11th day, following completion of a school’s first four weeks of classes.
The freshman class of 278 is the second largest in the university’s history. Adult students enrolled in the university’s Advance Program satellite campuses in Springdale, Ft. Smith and Little Rock number 433. One hundred and thirty-nine graduate students are registered in graduate programs in Marriage and Family Therapy, Community Counseling, School Counseling, Leadership and Ethic and MBA.
The states other than Arkansas with the largest representation on the northwest Arkansas campus are Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas. JBU’s international student population numbers 123 students from over 30 countries.
