Dick Armey Featured On KUOA

Siloam Springs, Ark (November 21, 2003) - American Family Values Radio, AM 1290, KUOA, is proud to host former republican congressman, Dick Armey as the featured guest on the Monday, Nov. 24 edition of Northwest Arkansas Live. Hosts of the popular morning talk radio show, Pete Fretwell and Josh Bentley, will be interviewing Armey on his government service as well as his new book, “Armey’s Axioms.” Armey’s book is a folksy collection of lessons learned about politics, power and the role of government. It is written from his experiences on Capital Hill and life outside of politics. “Dick Armey has a wealth of political knowledge that we are hoping to tap into,” Josh Bentley, host of Northwest Arkansas Live said. “There are so many important issues today, like Medicare reform, education, the economy... We're really looking forward to hearing his perspective!” Armey served in the U.S. Congress for eighteen years, culminating in eight years as majority leader. In Congress, he was the ranking republican on the Joint Economic Committee, the chairman of the Republican Conference, and most recently, the chairman of the Select Committee on Homeland Security. Prior to joining Congress, Armey taught at University of North Texas for thirteen years. He is currently a senior policy advisor at Piper Rudnick, a law firm, and co-chairman of Citizens for a Sound Economy, an organization promoting free market and limited government.
