Kim Hadley, JBU CFO, named CFO of the Year 2020 Finalist
SILOAM SPRINGS, Arkansas (Oct. 12, 2020) – Kim Hadley, vice president of finance & administration at John Brown University, has been named a finalist for the Arkansas Business CFO of the Year Awards.
This is the 11th annual awards program created by Arkansas Business to honor outstanding CFOs around the state of Arkansas. Nomination forms were submitted to an independent panel of judges that met in September to determine finalists and winners.
"Dr. Hadley is richly deserving of this recognition," said JBU President Chip Pollard. "She is a chief financial officer who not only supervises the university's finances with technical excellence and careful stewardship but also knows how to deploy JBU's financial and human resources to encourage others and to fulfill JBU's mission. She does her work with intellectual curiosity, compassionate kindness, and deep faithfulness. We are grateful to have her at JBU."
Broadcasting live from Rock City Events and Conference Center in Little Rock, the finalists and winners of each category will be revealed at a virtual celebration on Dec. 15. They will also be published in a special supplement of Arkansas Business to be distributed on November 30.
Drawing from her experience in public accounting and internal audit, Hadley joined JBU in 1996 and served as a faculty member and academic administrator until 2009 when she was named CFO. She is a member of the Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants, served on the Small Institution Council for the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO), chaired the CFO Commission with the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU), and serves on the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) Standards Advisory Committee. She also shares her finance and accounting experience through volunteerism with local not-for-profit organizations.
She is one of three finalists in the Education CFO category. The other two finalists in this category are Gloria Arcia from University of the Ozarks and Rita Fleming from Henderson State University.
