Moyer Selected to Gotham Hoops Invitational
BROOKLYN, N.Y. -- John Brown University men's basketball senior guard Luke Moyer has been selected to participate in the third annual Gotham Hoops Invitational in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Saturday (April 9), hosted by St. Francis College.
Moyer is one of 36 men's college seniors, representing NCAA and NAIA programs from around the country, chosen to compete in the one-day showcase in New York.
The event provides an opportunity for seniors to pursue a professional basketball career, nationally and internationally. Players will compete before local fans and overseas personnel, on-site and online. In two previous years, the Gotham Hoops Invitational has connected participants with teams in over 20 countries.
Moyer finished the 2015-16 campaign leading the men's basketball team with 15 points per game, and hit 39.1 percent (92-of-235) of attempts from behind the arc. His 92 triples were 11th-most in the NAIA this season, while Moyer's 3.07 triples per game were seventh-best in the nation. Moyer capped off his collegiate career by earning All-Sooner Athletic honorable mention honors.
