Lady Eagles Volleyball Plays Hard at Bison Blast

The Lady Eagles volleyball team holds a record of 1-3 coming out of the Oklahoma Baptist Bison Blast Tournament this past weekend in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

JBU won their first match on Friday against Williams Wood (Mo.) by 3-0 (25-20, 25-19, 25-19).  Staci Williams led the team with 12 kills followed by Erin Didier with 11 kills and Allie Rankin with 10.

Later in the day, JBU loss a close match to Westminster (Utah) 2-3 (25-22, 23-25, 20-25, 28-26, 11-15) despite 25 kills and 20 digs from Didier.

On Saturday, the Lady Eagles suffered two 0-3 losses, the first to Wiley (Texas) (15-25, 28-30, 21-25) and the other to Texas Brownsville (19-25, 16-25, 14-25).

In the match against Wiley, Didier and Rankin lead the team with 12 and 11 kills respectively. In the match against UT-Brownsville, Williams paced the team with eight kills.

The ladies will return to competition on Tuesday night in their home opener against Oklahoma Wesleyan at 7 p.m (JV match will take place at 5 p.m.).
