Women's Basketball Completes 2011 Recruiting Class

Siloam Springs, Ark. (May 9, 2011) - Head women’s basketball coach Jeff Soderquist has announced the names of his final three signees for the upcoming 2011-2012 basketball seasons.  Lindsey McHenry of Fayetteville, Ark., Laura Brown of Cleveland, Okla., and Jordyn Williams of Webb City, Mo. have signed letters of intent to play basketball at JBU in the fall.

“We are excited to add these three young ladies to our program and expect them to add depth at several key positions on the court,” said Soderquist.  “We also expect them to be valuable additions to the university as a whole as they are equally as talented academically.”

Lindsey McHenry

  • Fayetteville High School
  • 5-8 guard/forward
  • Helped guide the Lady Bulldogs to their second Class 7A state title in three years
  • 2010 All-Tournament Team - Durant (OK) Lion Classic
  • 7A-West Conference Player of the Week - 29 points, 13 rebounds, 8 assists in games against Bentonville and FS Southside (Jan. 15-22, 2011)
  • 7A-West All Conference 2010-2011
  • 7A All State Tournament Team 2010-2011 
  • KURM Basketball Dream Team 2010-2011
  • NWA Media All-Big Six Girls Basketball Team

Laura Brown

  • Cleveland High School
  • 6-0 post
  • Solid post with good hands and passing ability
  • Averaged over 10 points per game during her senior year

Jordyn Williams

  • Webb City High School
  • 5-7 guard
  • Good shooter, defender, and passer
  • Helped her team reach post season play for the past three seasons
