Men's Soccer Signs Top Recruits

The JBU men's soccer team signed 10 players for the 2011 soccer season.

Siloam Springs, Ark. (February 22, 2011) - Head men’s soccer coach John Miglarese today announced the names of 10 recruits that have signed letters of intent to play soccer for John Brown University next school year.

“I am very excited about the group that we are bringing in for next year. The coaching staff has worked very hard to secure a class that addresses the needs of the program as we graduated two all-region and three first team all-SAC players,” says Miglarese.  “We feel that we have done this and more by signing a class of quality students, talented players, and young men who will positively represent the mission and values of JBU.”

The list of players includes the following:

Ryan Duncan, Forward – Inverurie, Scotland

  • Selected to play for juvenile Scotland under 18 age group
  • Played “A” league level soccer for Aberdeen Lads Club – Lewis United and Formartine under 19 and 21 development squads
  • Played for Aberdeenshire Select at county level


Jose A. Niño, Midfielder – Katy, Texas

  • Cinco Ranch High School
  • Club soccer for Texas Rush U16 Developmental Academy Team in 2009-2010
  • Played for U18 Eclipse Premier Team in 2010-2011
  • Academic: 3.7 GPA – 1630 SAT
  • Three year letterman with two district titles in Texas 5A
  • Regional finalist in 2010


Aaron Estrada, Defender – San Antonio

Martin Gonzalez, Forward – Houston
