Lubbock, Texas (October 3, 2009) - Things didn’t come together for the Lady Golden Eagles on Saturday afternoon as they tried to pick up the clean sweep in Texas. The 19th ranked Lubbock (Texas) Christian Chaparrals stood in JBU’s way and defended their 23 home-match winning streak dropping the Golden Eagles in three sets, 15-25, 11-25, 12-25.

The loss drops JBU to 15-3 overall and 3-1 in the SAC.

JBU only managed to hit .053% for the match compared to a .448 hitting percentage from LCU (14-3, 4-0).

LCU also had five team blocks compared to only two from JBU.

The ladies will have to quickly rebound from this loss as they return to Murray Sells on Tuesday to face Southern Nazarene (Okla.) at 7 p.m. in the 2nd Annual Dig Pink Game, which is played in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
