Siloam Springs, Ark. (April 20, 2009) - Lindsey Parrish, a 5-6 combo guard from Liberty Christian School (LCS) in Argyle, Texas, and Anna Parish, a 5-9 point guard from Fort Worth have signed national letters of intent to play basketball for JBU next winter.

Head coach Jeff Soderquist said that he’s excited for the new additions and hopes the signees, who are not related, can bring an added dimension to the offense next year.

“Two of our weaknesses this year were turnovers and three point shooting,” said Soderquist, “And I feel both players can help us improve our percentage beyond the arc and cut down our numbers in the turnover column.”

Anna, who was a National Christian Homeschool Basketball Championship First Team All-American (NCHBC), averaged 14.7 points per game during her senior season with the Fort Worth THESA. She was also named the 2008-2009 NCHBC Most Valuable Player.

Lindsey received numerous awards and accolades during her three years lettering with LCS. During that time, she averaged 10.4 points, 3.25 assists, and 2.58 rebounds per game. As a sophomore and junior, she helped guide LCS to a state title and during her senior year, a state runner-up finish. As senior, she was also awarded team Co-Offensive Player of the Year honors while also being named to the 2009 State Championship All-Tournament team.
