Local Volleyball Standout Headed to JBU

Siloam Springs, Ark. (May 22, 2007) - Kirsten Lee, a 5-9 outside hitter from Har-Ber High School (Springdale), has signed a national letter of intent to play volleyball for John Brown University in the fall.

Lee earned various honors and awards throughout her high school career. In both 2005 and 2006, she was named team MVP. She was also named to the 7A-West All-Conference Team in 2006 and to the 5A-West All-Conference Team in 2005. Lee was also an Arkansas Athlete’s Outreach (AAO) Top 25 Selection in 2005.

With another addition to the 2007 volleyball roster, head volleyball coach Robyn Gordon is optimistic about the volleyball program.

“Kirsten is another great addition to our program, and we are excited that she has chosen to play at JBU,” said Gordon. “She has solid fundamental skills which will help her compete for playing time immediately.”

Lee plans to major in sports medicine or psychology.
