Siloam Springs, Ark (October 30, 1997) - John Brown University men's soccer player Rowan Isaac was named the NAIA Southwest Region and Arkansas-Oklahoma Section Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 26. The regional honor was the first ever given to a JBU player.

Isaac scored two game-winning overtime goals in critical matches against conference opponents Southern Nazarene University and Oklahoma Christian University, helping the Golden Eagles clinch a berth in the sectional playoffs. In the two games, he took a total of 17 shots.

"He had executed a lot of great shots that went about six inches over the crossbar," JBU Head Coach Bob Gustavson said.

Isaac, the son of Janet Peters, is a 5-foot-9 forward from All Saints Village, Antigua. He is a junior majoring in accounting
