SHAWNEE, OK (January 27, 2005) - The Golden Eagles snapped a two game slide with a 68-46 victory over the St. Gregory’s University Lady Cavaliers. The win improves the Golden Eagles record to 11-8 overall and 3-5 in conference.

Leading scorer Kendra McCormick with 18 points led the Golden Eagles. Sophomore forward Ashley Wettengel also chipped in 11 points and drew two key offensive fouls in the first half.

Kirstin Mueggenborg led the Lady Cavaliers with 12 points and Cassandra Reed had 10 points.

After the game Coach Soderquist said, “ I was pleased with how we came out. I thought we’ve played well defensively, but tonight we had some people hit some big shots. We got some points in transition, which we’ve been working on, and it’s always nice to win on the road in this conference.”

The Golden Eagles will be in action on Saturday evening at 6 p.m. at Oklahoma City University.
