JBU Soccer Signs Soccer Athlete

Siloam Springs, Ark. (April 14, 2004) - John Brown University soccer coach Bob Gustavson has announced the signing of Jonathan Hagen, a 6’0 fullback from Temple, Texas to a letter of intent to attend and play soccer for the Golden Eagles. Hagen played high school soccer for Belton High School and club soccer for 86 C.C. United. He was a three-year letterman, a first team All-District selection as a junior and the captain of his team as a senior.

Of the signing, Gustavson had the following remarks. “I’m happy Jonathan has decided to play soccer at JBU. He is an excellent marking back with good speed and aggressiveness. His leadership skills should add quite a lot to our solid corps of defenders. In addition to his soccer skill, Jonathan is a great student and will do well in the classroom. I am pleased to have him join our program.”

Hagen is the son of Dr. Michael and Barbara Hagen of Temple, Texas.
