JBU Women’s Tennis Loses Two Matches

Siloam Springs, Ark. (March 22, 2004) - Oklahoma Christian University and Southern Nazarene University got the best of the JBU women in tennis action with both Oklahoma schools defeating the Golden Eagles by scores of 8-1 on March 9. Singles play in the Oklahoma Christian match resulted in the following scores with Raynisha Robinson getting the only victory. Jennifer Trenchard vs. Michaela Shejbalova 0-6 and 0-6 Aja Martin vs. Lind Tempelfelde 0-6 and 3-6 Nicole Ediger vs. Ashley Sims 0-6 and 0-6 Melanie Regier vs. Linda Proctor 2-6 and 1-6 Silvy Perkins vs. Tarryn DeSouza 4-6 and 1-6 Raynisha Robinson vs. Micah Wooten 6-2, 5-7 and 10-6 Doubles actions had the following results: Trenchard/Ediger vs. Shejbalova/Tempelfelde 0-8 Regier/Deweese vs. Sims/DeSouza 1-8 Perkins/Robinson vs. Proctor/Wooten 3-8

The team also played Southern Nazarene on the same day and in singles play came out with 1 victory when Raynisha Robinson pulled out the win as she did against Okalhoma Christian: Trenchard vs. Russell 0-6 and 0-6 Martin vs. Fountain 1-6 and 0-6 Ediger vs. Magambo 1-6 and 0-6 Regier vs. Sills 0-6 and 1-6 Perkins vs. Ciccone 2-6 and 0-6 Robinson vs. Kraft 6-1 and 6-0 Doubles play had SNU winning all 3 matches by the following scores: Trenchard/Ediger vs. Russell/Fountain 0-8 Regier/Deweese ve. Ciccone/Kraft 5-8 Perkins/Robinson vs. Magambo/Sills 1-8

The Golden Eagles drop to 1-11 and will play Oklahoma Baptist University on March 27 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. The team returns home for play on April 1, also with Oklahoma Baptist.
