Prentice-Hall Publishes JBU Professor’s Third Textbook

Siloam Springs, Ark (February 4, 2002) - Dr. Leo Setian, professor of electrical engineering at John Brown University recently completed his third textbook, Applications in Electro-Optics. The text, published by Prentice-Hall, covers topics such as electricity, magnetism, transmission lines, electro-optics and electromagnetism. Setian plans to use the text in an engineering optics course he teaches at John Brown University.

Setian's book is a complete introduction to the key principles and theories of electro-optics and includes 15 hands-on laboratory applications and easy-to-understand tutorials, examples and sample problems. Applications in Electro-Optics is an application-focused text that fits the needs of both students and professors.

In addition to his duties as a professor at JBU, Setian has worked as a consultant to Galtronics, an antenna manufacturing company. He has written two other college texts, Practical Communication Antennas with Wireless Applications and Engineering Field Theory with Applications.
