If a student takes a class over winter break, do those credit hours go towards the 12 credit hour minimum required to keep the student's JBU scholarships for the Spring semester?
No, it does not count toward the 12 credit hour institutional aid requirement. A student would need to take 12 credit hours during the regular spring semester to qualify for institutional aid.

If I receive the Arkansas Challenge Scholarship, does the winter session class count toward my minimum of 15 credit hours for the spring semester?
Yes. If you take a winter session class, you only need to take an additional 12 credit hours in the spring semester.

What if I have made commitments based on the normal spring end date?
Given the context of the pandemic, we have sought to announce this change as soon as possible to enable students to plan accordingly. We realize that this change may cause a few students a particular hardship, and we are sorry for that difficulty. We would ask those students to contact Becky Weimer (academics) and Emily Moore (housing) to see if we can work out a possible accommodation.
