Why Study International Business at JBU?

Experienced faculty. The international business faculty come from a wide variety of work backgrounds: consumer packaged goods, corporate team building, government jobs, and education. The one thing they all have in common is: experience with other cultures. Our faculty have worked all over the world in various roles and have first-hand experience working with diverse teams.

Real-life application. Students don’t just learn information in class, they have opportunities to implement their knowledge by participating in Soderquist College of Business study trips. These hands-on international experiences gives students a chance to use what they have learned in a real world setting. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself touring a multinational corporation in China, Panama, or Germany.

Employment opportunities. Our alumni are successful, just ask them! It is not uncommon for our students to find themselves working across the globe in a variety of different organizations. Our alumni stay connected. Luckily, being apart in distance doesn’t mean you have to be apart in spirit.

Christ-centered education. We believe business is more than profits. We will teach you how to use your skills in a way that’s honoring to God and share valuable insights on how to look at teammates and bosses in a different manner. We will prepare you for secular attacks on Christian employees and teach you how to respond in a way that reflects Christ’s redeeming love.

Change communities. You will have the chance to change communities for the better through the JBU business club ENACTUS (Entrepreneurs in Action). You will create innovative and sustainable solutions to pressing social issues, making a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
