The 3D Printing Academy is here for Fall 2021!

 

3D printing is more popular than ever as it provides rapid prototyping for the industry! The ability to design and develop 3D objects will be beneficial for students considering leading the engineering development process in the future!

JBU Engineering Department proudly presents the 3D Printing Academy, a 7-week program designed to teach 7th-12th grade students the basics of 3D printing. It offers courses in the fundamentals of using SolidWorks to create 3D objects and print them. Students will be led in a 2-hour session each week (Saturdays) from 9:30 - 11:30 am with guidance from on-site student-teachers, each day developing new skills and knowledge in 3D printing. Each student will be able to interact 1-on-1 with a student-teacher when they have questions or need clarification. 

Attendance: In-person

Cost: $100 (3D printing materials included. Additionally, partial scholarships for students with a financial need are available on a limited basis. Email Heidi Smith (hsmith@jbu.edu) for more information.)
