Computer Science Academy
An 8-week program designed to teach 7th-12th grade students the basics of programming

As the computer science field continues to grow, the demand for professionals with programming experience has significantly increased, and computer programming is a skill that will be needed in the future for many career fields. JBU Computer Science Department presents the Computer Science Academy, which is an 8-week program designed to teach 7th-12th grade students the basics of programming. It offers courses in the fundamentals of C# using and original computer science curriculum. Students will be led in a 2-hour session each week with guidance from on-site student-teachers, each day developing new skills and knowledge in computer programming. Each student will be able to interact 1-on-1 with a student-teacher when they have questions or need clarification.

Time: Saturday mornings, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Dates: February 22 - April 25 (There will be no class on March 21 and 28 (Spring Break).)
Location: Balzer Technology Center Computer Lab (1st floor), John Brown University
