Position Summary

Responsible for providing direct support to customer pipeline from initial customer contact, assessment of need, successfully closing proposed contracts for services delivered, delivery of contracted services and on-going relationship management.

Position Responsibilities

    • Primary
      • Nurture and grow strategic relationships with current customers.
      • Field incoming requests for information regarding Center services to assess need and identify potential connectivity to ML Programs.
      • Leads one-on-one coaching and development process, utilizing assessment instruments as appropriate.
      • Creates individual development plans with appropriate priorities of focus on relevant developmental goals.
      • Develop customer recommendations and proposals, including pricing and all supporting documentation in collaboration with ML staff. Represent those recommendations with the customer and successfully secure contracts to deliver services.
    • Secondary
      • Establish a presence in our target markets through actively meeting potential customers and attendance at networking events in order establish and cultivate relationships while staying abreast of market conditions and trends.
      • Bring business development knowledge gained in sales process to ML design and facilitation team to ensure our services continue to provide practical solutions for helping leaders achieve their goals and objectives.
      • Provide analysis for business projections, budget tracking, programs, and customer-base.
      • Develops content from ML’s standard platform for sessions including handouts, presentation, outlines, internal agendas, and speaker notes.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Clear understanding of principles of values-focused leadership.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with business leaders at across multiple levels, size, and organization type.
  • Ability to empathetically understand needs of business customer and to bring and design ML solutions to meet those needs.
  • Ability to write, price, and present professional proposals, successfully moving prospects into a contractual relationship.
  • Ability to represent the ML in various business settings through proven oral communication skills, both conversational and presentation.
  • Excellent analysis and project management skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize workload.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team of facilitators and design professionals to develop and deliver best product to customers.
  • Proficiency in computer software systems – desktop and web-based platforms.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • 5-10 years of experience in sales or operational roles.
  • Ability to support programs through occasional presentation and facilitation skills.


  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalent work experience.  Master’s degree preferred.

  • Physical demands:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk; stand; sit; use hands; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk and hear.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Work environment:  The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
