Gift Processing Manager

Position summary

Priorities primarily include processing and acknowledging all gifts given to JBU. Provides detailed records and analysis of gifts, effective communication.

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Oversees accurate and timely processing and entry of all types of gifts given to JBU
  • Oversees receipts and acknowledgement letters to donors.
  • Provide gift donation reports to advancement leadership and other departments.  
  • Data analysis and account reconciliation
  • Maintains a familiarity of industry standards and trends (CASE, IRS, AASP)
  • Update and improve systems and procedures, including documentation when applicable.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Willingness to learn new things.
  • Strong skills with numbers and math.
  • Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail oriented, with ability to move multiple tasks forward, handling interruptions. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Non-profit gift processing
  • RE NXT or other CRM experience


Associates Degree or business school required.  Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical demands:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk; stand; sit; use hands; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk and hear.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work environment:  The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
