OAC Equipment Rental

Get Outfitted for Your Outdoor Adventure!

Any current WLHC member (18 years or older), including JBU students, faculty and staff, can rent equipment from the OAC.  

Equipment Available for Rental

    • Backpacking Bags (80L) - $5/day
    • Tents - 2, 3 or 4 person (ground tarps included) - $10/day
    • Sleeping Bags (20 degree) - $5/day
    • Cook Kits (2 pots, lids, 1 fry pan and pot gripper, water filter, and stove) - $10/day
      • Stove Options: Primus (propane); Two-Burner Coleman Camp Stove (propane) **Fuel not included with rentals.
      • Water Filter: Platypus (gravity)
    • Kayaks (9' or 10' with paddles and life jackets included) - $10/day
    • Canoes (paddles, life jackets and throw bags included) - $15/day
    • Stand Up Paddle Boards (paddles and life jackets included) - $20/day

Note:  Straps are available for assistance in hauling kayaks and canoes, however, members must provide their own transportation, racks and/or rack attachments.

Reservation & Check-Out Instructions

To rent equipment, stop by the WLHC Front Desk in person to reserve and/or check out your equipment.  We will start taking reservations on Monday, May 21, 2018 with rentals to begin being checked out on Friday, May 25, 2018.

You must provide payment for your equipment at the time of reservation or at check-out (for walk-ins),.  You will also be required to sign a rental agreement and release of liability when you pick up your equipment.  Members must have a valid JBU or WLHC ID present when reserving and/or picking up equipment.

Equipment Return

All equipment must be returned by noon on the day the equipment is due.

Renters are responsible for the care of OAC equipment while in their possession and agree to return the equipment clean and in good working order. Damaging or losing gear will result in additional charges to the renter.
