Coronavirus FAQ - Travel

May an employee still attend work-related conferences and off-campus travel, funded by JBU?

BU funded travel and conference attendance is suspended through the end of April. Please seek cancellations and refunds where possible. Any airfare vouchers provided to individuals should be reserved for future JBU travel. Faculty and staff may still travel by car within the state and region, avoiding large group gatherings and high-risk areas.

How will the university handle employees' personal out of state travel?  
If an employee will be traveling in a personal vehicle to a low-risk location, no further action is needed by employee. 
If an employee will be traveling via public transportation, such as an airplane, bus or train, employee must notify human resources prior to returning.  Upon returning, the employee's temperature will be monitored for 14 days.
If the employee begins experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID 19, the employee will be required to self-quarantine away from campus for at least 14 days.  

What is happening with Spring Break mission trips?
All Spring Break trips have been canceled.
