Coronavirus Cleaning and Sanitation Procedures

Cleaning & Sanitation

  • The JBU Facilities Services staff is cleaning heavy-use surfaces more frequently as usual during the flu season.
  • Cleaning supplies will be provided to each department to supplement the daily cleaning as desired.
  • Though the chemicals already in use kill enveloped viruses such as SARS and most likely the coronavirus, we are following the recommendation of cleaning resource companies and also stocking a stronger disinfectant until more testing can be performed.
  • Cleaning supplies, gloves and other necessary supplies have been ordered in large quantities to avoid possible shortage issues.
  • Hand sanitizing stations are available across campus and are filled with effective hand sanitizer.
  • Employees are advised to limit or take extra precautions when having shared food at informal gatherings.
  • Creative Dining Services is following all prescribed food service and sanitation measures in our dining hall and California Cafe.
