Why you should earn your Master's in Teaching from JBU.

If you're wanting to make an impact through a meaningful career in teaching, JBU can help you get there.

In JBU's Master of Arts in Teaching program, you'll learn the skills and gain the classroom experience you need to obtain an Arkansas teaching license for secondary education (grades 7-12). This is an excellent option if you didn't major in education as an undergraduate student, but have at least 18 credit hours in a specific content area.

Professional Licensure Disclosure

At JBU, you'll receive one-on-one support from professors and will graduate feeling equipped to honor God and serve others. In this program, you'll have the flexibility to work full-time while earning your degree through evening, synchronous, and online courses and will gain expertise from faculty who have years of experience in the field.

Program Length
The M.A.T. is a 36-hour program and can be completed in approximately two years. An additional semester is required of MAT students in order to complete their internship.

Course Format
Graduate Education programs at JBU are offered in a hybrid format—half of your class sessions are completely online; the other half can be attended either face-to-face OR you can log in to attend online during class time. All face-to-face classes meet at the JBU Rogers Center.
