M.A. in Education Studies

Master of Arts in Education Studies

Work with students outside of the public school system.

We believe that education makes a difference in student’s lives. If your goal is to work with students outside of the K-12 public school system in a position that does not require state licensure, such as private schools, charter schools, youth organizations, then this is the program for you.

Learn about the complex needs of today’s learners and how to develop curriculum and deliver engaging instruction while addressing the needs of a variety of learners. In this program, you will also learn how to successfully manage a group of students and apply the concept of legal and ethical decision-making when working in a setting with students.

Graduates of this program are not qualified for state licensure/certification.

Program Length
The M.A. in Education Studies is a 34-hour program and can be completed in approximately two years.

Course Format
Graduate Education programs at JBU are offered in a hybrid format—half of your class sessions are completely online; the other half can be attended either face-to-face OR you can log in to attend online during class time. All face-to-face classes meet at the JBU Rogers Center.
