Students in the Design Thinking & Innovation program will acquire the tools and knowledge to develop innovative products, services, communications and a business model with an organizational impact.  By learning techniques, gaining experience, and developing real projects using design thinking methodologies, students will be able to implement new and creative solutions to positively impact the world around them.

M.B.A. vs. M.S.: What's the difference?

The Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Design Thinking and Innovation is largely quantitative and contains the foundational disciplines of business, while the Master of Science (M.S.) in Design Thinking and Innovation is a broad degree that focuses more on the people side of this concentration than the different organizational areas. The Facts

Program Length

The M.S. in Design Thinking & Innovation is a 30-credit-hour program and can be completed in less than two years. The MBA with a concentration in Design Thinking & Innovation is 36-45 credit hours, depending on whether a student has undergraduate coursework in a business-related field. Students typically complete the program in approximately two years. 

Course Format

You can earn the MS or MBA 100% online or through a combination of online and in-person classes at the John Brown University Rogers Center.
