Darin Dauenhauer has 30 plus years of experience in IT.  He started my career in the US Navy as an electronics technician, where he began learning the basics behind many security principles still used today.  Concepts such as two-person integrity and cryptographic code protection and data encryption.  Throughout his career in infrastructure, he has led teams responsible for implementing and advising on security in the enterprise.

After 18 years with GE Capital, he moved on to Walgreens. While at Walgreens, he was responsible for the migration to cloud computing while ensuring compliance with both HIPPAA and PCI.  This was a task that early in the cloud computing journey many would have said was impossible.  However, his team managed to execute delivery on the cloud platform of choice while achieving compliance with both the federal HIPPAA regulations and the Purchasing Card Industry standards set forth in PCI.

Four years later, he left Walgreens and moved on to Murphy USA.  At Murphy, he is responsible for both infrastructure and security.  He has held the title Chief Security Officer at three different organizations throughout his career in addition to owning the infrastructure at the enterprise level.

He looks forward to teaching and learning with each student as they journey through the course work together!
