Established: 1972
This scholarship was created to honor the donors' parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Heinlein. The Heinleins were very dedicated to Christian principles. Mr. Heinlein worked as a farmer and was also a lay Methodist minister. His mother, Elizabeth Heinlein of Ada, Missouri, made quilts and sold them for $5 each to raise money for missionaries. The Heinleins loved music. Their four surviving children played both pianos and organs in their homes.
