Chapel

As part of JBU's COVID-19 response, the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 chapel program will change to a Chapel Group format available to registered students only. You are invited to listen to recorded chapel messages or follow JBU on Instagram for current resources and information.

Encounters with Jesus

“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

John 1:14 NIV

Chapel is an integral part of accomplishing John Brown University's mission of providing Christ-centered higher education of the Head, Heart, and Hand. Through the use of multi-media, Christian leaders from around the world as well as members of our own JBU community will challenge us to think, believe, and live as Jesus's disciples.

This fall and spring, in lieu of large-group chapels and student-led Gatherings in the Cathedral of the Ozarks, students will participate in small Chapel Groups across campus during the normal chapel time. They will listen to messages created for our students by external and internal speakers, and will engage in discussions led by JBU faculty and staff. A new weekly event, Worship on the Quad (returning March 2021), will provide a time for students to come together outdoors—while following physical distancing protocol—for worship and encouragement from a JBU faculty/staff speaker.
