Chapel

The JBU chapel program will be returning to indoor services and normal requirements beginning with the Fall 2021 semester with some adjustments due to COVID-19. Chapel is currently for registered students only, but guests are invited to listen to recorded chapel messages or follow JBU on Instagram for current resources and information.

The Exodus Generation

“'I will bring you into the land that I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; I will give it to you for a possession. I am the Lord.’  Moses told this to the Israelites; but they would not listen to Moses, because of their broken spirit and their cruel slavery."
Exodus 6:8-9 NRSV

Chapel is an integral part of accomplishing John Brown University's mission of providing Christ-centered higher education of the Head, Heart, and Hand. We gather in the context of corporate worship to:

  • better know, love, and glorify God
  • gain His perspective on our learning
  • grow together as a Christ-centered community committed to serving in the world as Jesus's disciples

Chapel services are held each Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Additional chapel opportunities include the student-led Gathering services, Vespers, and other special events approved for chapel credit.

Students can sign in to Eaglenet to check their chapel attendance and view JBU's chapel policy.
