Chapel

As part of JBU's COVID-19 response, the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 chapel program will change to a Chapel Group format available to registered students only. You are invited to listen to recorded chapel messages or follow JBU on Instagram for current resources and information.

The Fruit of the Spirit

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”

Galatians 5:22-23 NIV

Chapel is an integral part of accomplishing John Brown University's mission of providing Christ-centered higher education of the Head, Heart, and Hand. Through the use of multi-media, Christian leaders from around the world as well as members of our own JBU community will challenge us to think, believe, and live as Jesus's disciples.

This fall, in lieu of large-group chapels and student-led Gatherings in the Cathedral of the Ozarks, students will be participating in small Chapel Groups across campus during the normal chapel time. They will be listening to messages created for our students by great speakers, such as Jill Briscoe, Noah Mitchell, James Hawkins, and Aaron Elmore, and engaging in discussions led by JBU faculty and staff. A new weekly event, Worship on the Quad, will provide a time for students to come together outdoors (while following physical distancing protocol) for worship and encouragement from a JBU faculty/staff speaker.

Even though chapel looks different this semester, we are excited about new spiritual growth and discipleship opportunities for our campus!
