As part of JBU's Covid-19 response, classes transitioned to an online format beginning March 30, and on-campus chapel services were canceled for the remainder of the spring semester.  As an alternative, recorded chapel messages will be posted on as they become available. You can also follow JBU on Instagram ( where chapel messages and other resources will be posted through the end of the semester.

Chapel is an integral part of accomplishing John Brown University's mission of providing Christ-centered higher education of the Head, Heart, and Hand.

Christian leaders from around the world as well as members of our own JBU community will challenge us to think, believe, and live as Jesus's disciples.

The regular schedule for chapel is Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30-11:15 a.m. The Gathering, a student-led service, meets Sunday nights at 9 p.m. All chapel services meet in the Cathedral of the Ozarks.

Join us as we gather in the context of corporate worship to:

  • better know, love, and glorify God
  • gain His perspective on our learning
  • grow together as a Christ-centered community committed to serving in the world as Jesus's disciples

Additional chapel opportunities include the student-led Gathering services, Vespers, talkback sessions with chapel speakers, and other special events approved for chapel credit.
