Terry Thompson is a retired U.S. Air Force officer having served as Vice Commander of Little Rock AFB, AR, and Wing Commander at Dyess AFB, Texas. During his career, he attended several academic institutions including the Executive Program at University of Virginia and the Department of Defense National War College. After retirement, he served as executive pastor at Crossgate Church in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and was general manager of the nationally syndicated television show, AdventureBound Outdoors. He has authored two books, The Aviator’s Devotional and A New Strategy for the War on Cancer. He founded the Connie Thompson Foundation for cancer awareness and patient support and is president of the non-profit organization.
With his opportunities in leadership, academics, extensive travel, and pastoral ministry, Terry followed a calling to use his experience in teaching students at a Christian university. He has found John Brown to be the perfect blend of teaching scholarship, service, and Christian living. He teaches various business courses at the graduate and undergraduate level, but specializes in economics.
Terry serves Crossgate Church as an Elder and is a Bible teacher for an adult small group. He enjoys recreational flying, travel, and community involvement. He and his wife, Linda, have four children and eight grandchildren.
