Adjunct Instructor of Biblical Studies
M.A., Wheaton College
B.S., University of Illinois
Mrs. Romig was born in Peoria, Illinois, always dreamed of being a nun, and then met her husband, Chuck, in college! Their mutual desire to serve Christ was a huge part of their commitment to each other!
She has learned much and met some incredible people through her employment, raising her two sons with Chuck, and teaching. Teaching is her passion, second only to her relationship to Jesus & her family. She has taught math to middle-school & college students, and a calling from God changed her teaching topic of choice in mid-life to Biblical studies & spiritual formation. She taught a variety of Bible courses for 7 years at Tabor College Wichita prior to coming to JBU, one semester at Lithuania Christian College, and has helped develop spiritual formation programs in two major churches. She loves to mentor and lead small groups, helping to put others in a place where they can grow in their knowledge and love of Jesus.
Here at JBU, Mrs. Romig teaches primarily the Capstone Seminar in Christian Life course. She loves this course because it's fun to work with the diversity of students here at JBU across all majors and at different places in their faith. She has taught at JBU since Fall ’09!
Mrs. Romig shares a love of the outdoors with her husband, Chuck, and they enjoy kayaking and hiking together. She does a bit of gardening and cooking in her spare time, but mostly enjoys time with her four grandchildren!
