The Walt and Margaret Siemens family lineage has been intertwined with JBU for over half of the university’s nearly 100-year existence. For 52 consecutive years a member of the Siemens family has been either a JBU student, faculty or staff member.

JBU has a rich musical heritage dating back to 1924.

Summer of 1961, the agriculture program's professor passed away. Thereafter JBU's dairy herd was sold; the academic agriculture program was dropped; and the last two students in the program changed minors.

The first group of JBU students traveled to Ireland for the first Ireland Summer Studies program in 1998. Angela Miller shares her story of leaving the United States for the first time to embark on a program in its infancy in 1999.
