Alumni Association Board
Board of Directors
Thank you for your interest in serving on the John Brown University Alumni Board of Directors. The AB currently meets once in the Fall during the two days prior to Homecoming Weekend, which is normally the first weekend in October, and once in the Spring (usually the second or third weekend in April).
We realize attendance to these meetings is a major commitment both in time and finances (when attending meetings, transportation and housing is at your own expense, although all on-campus meals are provided). We believe that attendance at every board meeting is an essential part of our service and therefore require board members to participate in each meeting during their four-year term (excluding emergencies).
As you complete this application, keep in mind the Alumni Board is a working board. We want our directors to be energetic, action oriented volunteers who not only meet on behalf of our alumni, but also actively pursue how we can motivate our alumni to participate in the life of our alma mater. We also believe in upholding the Alumni Board's Constitution and By-Laws. The AB supports the JBU Mission Statement of providing Christ-centered education to students by preparing them to honor God and serve other by developing their intellectual, spiritual, and professional lives.
Also see our Constitution for additional information relating to the JBU Alumni Association.
We look forward to hearing from you!
Thank you for taking the time to fill out the questionnaire. Someone from the Alumni Board will contact you when a position becomes available. We keep all applications in an active file. God bless your willingness to serve your alma mater!
