What should I bring?

  • Pillow, toiletries, casual clothes
  • Health insurance information
  • Work-study paperwork: Please bring one List A or one List B AND List C document to complete your I-9 Form for work-study. More Information.
  • We will provide towels, washcloths, sheets and blankets 

What is Pre-Registration Paperwork?

Pre-Registration Paperwork is a way to speed up the registration process when you come to Early Registration. It allows you to fill out much of the information that you will otherwise need to complete when you arrive. By submitting Pre-Registration Paperwork, you'll be able to bypass the lines and sign up for your classes sooner. Complete your Pre-Registration Paperwork.

How do I register for classes?

There is a Department Orientation time on Friday and individual Advising Time on Saturday. You will register for your classes with your Advisor during your assigned time on Saturday.

What time will I register?

Registration times are based on your deposit date. You will find out your exact time when you arrive on Friday.

Can my siblings attend?

Yes, siblings are welcome to attend. They will be housed with your parents in the North Slope Apartments or a Residence Hall.

What is the cost of Early Registration?

The cost is $50 per person. This will cover the 3 meals and the overnight stay. If you are not going to stay on campus, there is an option on the sign up page to only pay for the things you will attend.

Where will I stay during Early Registration?

Students will be paired with other students in Walker and J. Alvin Hall. Parents you can also stay on campus in the North Slope Apartments or in a Residence Hall.

Do I have to stay on campus?

No, but we highly recommend that all students stay on campus. If you choose to stay off campus, check the local accommodations page for places to stay.

Can I be picked up from the airport?

Yes. Limited transportation is available to/from Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport (XNA) and from Tulsa International Airport (TUL).

What kind of clothes do I need to wear?

Early Registration is a casual event, so wear comfortable, casual clothes.

Kenn Kington has been a speaker at several of JBU's Early Registration events and is always enjoyable to hear. His ability to use comedy for outreach and encouragement is cutting edge. Performing for over 25 years, Kenn is one of today's most sought after comedians and sells out comedy concerts nationwide. He offers great comedy with no side effects - no blushing, no cringing, no embarrassing situations or language. In addition, Kenn is the creator of The Ultimate Comedy Theater which is not only touring all over the country, but is also currently in production of its first network TV pilot. His previous three film projects have sold over 30,000 copies and continue to pop up on a variety of cable networks. Kenn is also a regular on XM and Sirus radio.

Kenn consistently customizes his comedy to a variety of corporate audiences with events ranging from 60 to 60,000. He has worked with notable companies such as Marriott, Turner Broadcasting, Bank of America, The NBA, PGA, and many more. His ability to blend a theme or topic with one of today's funniest comedy routines is unparalleled.

A devoted family man, Kenn and his wife of 21 years, Heather, live in Atlanta, Georgia, where they are raising two teen age sons, Graham & Kody, and daughter Kennedy.
